UTAS Psychology Research

Are you 10 to 17 years old? Would you like to take part in a research study looking at how young people think, problem-solve, and act at home and at school? University of Tasmania Psychology Honours students Katie McBain (’88) and Natalie Ling (supervised by Assoc Prof Nenagh Kemp and Dr Kimberley Norris) are running a study looking at these skills in young people who were born prematurely, as well as those who were born “on time”.

Interested in Touch Football?

Touch football is a field sport based on rugby league, without the need to tackle. It’s easy to learn, needs limited equipment and is generally a limited-contact sport… it’s also heaps of fun!

The Launceston Touch Association’s season runs from October to March every year, with this year’s season quickly approaching. We are hoping in the coming years to field some college teams but in the interim, if anyone was interested in playing there are opportunities to get some exposure to the sport and join a club.
