Homely Retreats is an Australian registered charity and tax deductible gift recipient. Between November 2018 – 2021 they have provided much needed respite for hundreds of Tasmanians affected by cancer. They have also extended their services here in Tasmania to include more ‘at home’ support options, such as bulk fresh meal deliveries, for those who are too unwell for travel.

In May, we are once again holding our Million Paws Walks throughout the state, in Ulverstone, Launceston and Hobart. This is one of our largest fundraisers and held nationally.
We are hoping to engage schools to enter as a team or teams. The cost for a team is $65.00 for 5 students to walk with their dogs, representing their school. It is tax deductable and a good event to demonstrate students’ social responsibility.

Harmony Week – Everyone Belongs is an Australia wide celebration that recognises diversity and inclusion held this year from Monday 21 March to Sunday 27 March. The week includes Monday 21 March, which is the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The Migrant Resource Centre North is hosting a screening of the thought provoking documentary “Scattered People” which may be something that interests you and your family/friends. Screening is on Friday 18 March at the UTAS Lecture Theatre.
