St Mathias Church Christmas Festival

On Saturday  11 December, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, a Christmas Festival will be held in the grounds of St Matthias’ Church, 431 Windermere Rd, Windermere.

Free informal activities will be available for families to learn about the traditional Christian Christmas story with lots of giveaways to take home.

At 3.00pm a group nativity scene will be staged including everyone as massed shepherds, angels, sheep, townsfolk, wise men, or Mary and Joseph, so dressing up in simple costumes is encouraged (limited children’s props will be available).

BYO picnic snacks and drinks, as there will not be food for sale.

Mountain Biking Skills Sessions

Tassie MTB Devils have MTB Skill sessions at Railton these school holidays. Come and experience some of the best trails in the Wild Mersey Network, learn skills and have fun!

These 2-hour sessions see riders develop a range of mountain biking skills. Each session is run by two MTBA certified coaches and is designed to allow for skill progression in a fun and safe environment with plenty of opportunity for one-on-one feedback.

Join them Fridays 1 and 8 October. Beginner Riders 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and Intermediate Riders 12:30 PM -2:30 PM

Some people are competitive but for many it’s a recreational activity for fun and fitness in the outdoors.

Some race it, others jog or walk and you can choose how serious you want to be! There are always three courses to choose from (short, medium and longer course) and no mass starts.
